Y NO LIKE BUTTON?
This page has no facebook like button, because having one would make this page snitch to facebook about any signed-in facebook user even watching this page.
Nevertheless, you can
this page on facebook, which is way way cooler:
You get to write in your own words why you think this page is cool (instead of being yet another sheep in the lovey-dovey herd).
This page doesn't report to facebook that you've been here until you decide to do so yourself (on your own terms: public [+Zuckerberg], friends [+Zuckerberg], etc.).
How can I have a facebook share button on my own site?
Here's a simple way to generate the HTML for such a button.
If you do have a web site or blog and can't (or don't know how to) insert HTML into it, just show this to a geek friend and he/she will figure something out. It's really easy.
But how will people like my site?
They won't. They will be able to share it (which counts as a lot more than liking). If you link from your site to your facebook page, they can like that.
But how will my users understand that I don't have a like button "for their own good?"
You can, for example, put a
icon on your page and link it here like this:
<a target="_blank" href="https://nolikebutton.jottit.com/"><img style="border:none" src="http://666kb.com/i/c1z8a4tou23pc7v0b.png/"/></a>
Don't like the icon? Feel free to use a better one. Don't like the text on this page? Feel free to do a better page and link the icon to it instead. In short: Feel free. It's a good feeling, and it's free :)
